25 Unit Permanent Supportive Housing Development

Daylights’ first project and primary on-the-ground progress to date is Watts Works, a 25-unit housing project in the Watts neighborhood of LA. A relatively small project by industry standards, we view Watts Works as proof of concept, or a minimum viable product that will provide credibility and support for our business plan more broadly. 

Individuals who live in Watts Works apartments will also receive wraparound social services such as counseling, community-based health care, treatment, and employment training. In addition to 25 units for chronically homeless individuals, Watts Works allows for a manager unit.

We are partnering alongside Decro Corporation and the Downtown Women’s Center to provide 32 PSH units for women experiencing homelessness, as well as 7 affordable units to qualifying low-income families.

We are partnering with A Community of Friends as our non-profit development partner, our property manager and supportive-service provider. They are one of the most highly-respected non-profits in the homeless housing space.
